I fell while walking the other day and my husband instantly ordered the ICETRAX Cleats For Snow And Ice from Amazon, and I’m so glad he did. I have never used any kind of grip for walking. And I fall every single winter. I have bruised my knee, hip, elbow, and head by falling on ice, and this year I can’t risk hurting myself because I need to stay physical and on top of my game.

What I Like About The ICETRAX Cleats For Snow And Ice
These cleats wrap around your shoe tightly. I am not wearing boots this winter, but obviously it would fit around your boot too. It fits very snugly, so there’s no concern about it falling off or shifting while you walk.
I’ve even had to take them off once and it was easy to do so, much easier than putting them back on!
Looking up close you can see the little spikes. They are round, but they dig into ice like you wouldn’t believe.
I have had no problem walking on snow, even slippery snow. These just push right into the snow and give you the grip you need to keep moving.
On ice, you just need to make sure that you put your foot down in a way that these spikes and grips are going to get you gripped before moving your next foot. You can’t run with them and not expect to slip, even these cleats have their limits. However, I walk fast and have not slipped ONCE. As long as I’m a little more cautious going over the ice bumps and pure ice sections, I’m good.
I have stopped on ice hills to see how the cleats do. They do grip on, but I need to ensure I’m planting my foot square down. If I have my foot tilted, for example, there’s a little slip.
That said, last time I fell, I fell on slippery snow, not ice, and my foot went straight out from under me forwards. That wouldn’t happen with these cleats. There’s enough grip to ensure that your foot may move a little, but once the spikes dig in, you’re golden.
You Will Notice The Difference Walking On Dry Sidewalk As Opposed To Snow Or Ice
These ICETRAX Cleats For Snow And Ice feel funny on flat surface without snow or ice. I wore them into a grocery store once, and you feel like you’re walking on little pegs. It’s not the best feeling, so I take them off if I’m going to wear these shoes out for walking in the store or mall.
The other day, I forgot to put my ICETRAX Cleats back on for my morning walk and I noticed it! I had to baby myself over the same sidewalks and roads that I had been confidently walking over the last few weeks. They were noticeably slippery where I hadn’t noticed that before with my cleats.
I noticed the different on my knees and hips too. Without the cleats, I put more pressure on my knees and hips as I balance my way over the slippery spots, whereas with the cleats, I don’t feel any pressure on my knees or hips.
In short, if you are like me and want to walk even if it’s snowed, melted, and snowed again, get these cleats. They are the best thing I’ve gotten in my life for walking, hands down.
