In September, I bought a moon reading guide. I really liked it, and in it they had a moon manifesting ritual that I wanted to try. The ritual is simply goal setting – or setting an intention – and moving through the process of trying to manifest the goals or intentions. I started during the last new moon on October 6th, and it didn’t go so well for me. I’m going to try again this cycle.
Interestingly, I was listening to one of the interviews during career month from Jon Butcher, the founder of Lifebook, and his son was asking him if he does anything off the beaten path. Jon said that his wife, Missy, does a lot of different practices that are off the beaten path, but Jon doesn’t do many EXCEPT he does follow the moon cycle for his goals. I listened to this before I ventured into my moon manifesting ritual, and it made me more excited to try it.
My Goals Didn’t Come To Fruition
To start, you are supposed to create some intentions for the month. I only made two goals and I can’t even remember what one of them was. I got so focused on one of the goals that I knocked the other one out of my head.
You are supposed to write down your goals on a piece of paper and bury them. I took them out and buried them by a walkway that I walk every day.
That was interesting to do. For the first week, I always looked down where my intentions were buried. But soon I would find myself passing them and then looking back in remembrance after I got a little bit away.
Sometimes I forgot that they were there completely.
You are also supposed to create a to-do list to help you manifest your intentions. I didn’t do that. I tried to whim it, and that’s where I went wrong. I didn’t take any concrete action towards my intentions. I hoped I would get some inspired action, but I didn’t. Or maybe I did because I’ve been doing some things differently lately, but the results haven’t come to fruition yet.
So, things weren’t happening for me and that stressed me out. As I watched the moon become fuller, I worried that I was running out of time, and that didn’t help anything. In fact, one of my goals was to improve some of my business’s stats – double them, in fact – and they’ve actually ended up getting worse. That’s not cool.
I have noticed the moon in a bigger way this month. I also noticed that the moon was in the waning phase and thought a lot about my goals and lack of results.
So, I guess the ritual helped me to pay more attention the phases of the moon and, maybe, get me set up for my next cycle with this?
I’m Going To Get Serious And Try The Moon Manifestation Ritual Again
I’m still drawn to do the moon manifestation ritual. I love the night sky, the stars, and the moon. I always have, and I feel like there’s a lot of power there that can help me manifest the life I want.
Moreover, I’ll likely start setting my short-term goals by the moon cycle anyways, because I like being able to look up in the sky and see a visual of how much time has passed and how much is left for my goal.
I remember watching a free-spirit vlogger once who said that the moon must have benefits for us, just like the sun, and I believe that’s true. We know that it impacts the tides, so why not energy?
In fact, as part of my destiny moon reading guide, where I learned this moon manifesting ritual, I also learned about my moon sign (Scorpio) and my moon phase (waning crescent). And my lunar purpose, which is to transform. It’s all very interesting and I look forward to learning more about it as I focus on my next moon manifestation ritual.
Note: You can get a smaller, but free personalized moon reading here. That’s where I started, and I couldn’t wait to learn more about it. Everything is so personalized it’s hard not to want to learn more if you are even remotely interested. Just make sure you know your birth time if you can find it out.
So, on November 4th, along with the new moon, I will be trying again. I’m only going to set one intention this time. My biggest intention, which is still to double some stats that relate to my business. This will move me closer to the quality of life I want, which is the focus of the month in the Lifebook Membership so it only feels right.
Here’s how the process looks:
- New Moon: Set Intentions
- Waxing Crescent: Plant The Seeds
- First Quarter: Take Action
- Waxing Gibbous: Refining With Patience
- Full Moon: Celebrating And Receiving
- Waning Gibbous:ย Communicating And Learning
- Last Quarter: Letting Go
- Waning Crescent: Your Higher Wisdom
I’ll make sure to write about it as I go through it this next month.
